Science in Society: Environmental Issues in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands

This course delves into the critical intersection of environmental science and socio-scientific issues within New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Students will explore how socio-scientific challenges, such as climate change and biodiversity loss, impact these regions, and engage in hands-on projects to develop sustainable solutions. The course also emphasises the importance of scientific literacy and critical thinking in addressing complex societal issues.
