We will look at ions and work with chemicals both quantitatively and qualitatively. We will look at the chemistry of batteries. There is a large practical component to this course. We will also look at patterns in the Periodic Table. 

- Carrying out practicals to examine chemistry quantitatively and qualitatively

- Looking at the implications of chemistry to the world 

- Learning about the reactivity of different elements, molecules and compounds.

- Learning about ocean acidification and the role carbon plays in our changing world 

This subject leads onto: medicine, physiotherapy, food technology, pharmaceuticals, environmental science and all branches of engineering.
