Level 3 Religious Education

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Setefano.

The programme is based on the Understanding Faith

resource from the National Centre of Religious Studies (NCRS). The course consists of three Achievement Standards which are all internally assessed. Each Achievement Standard is worth six credits. The department will offer 18 credits in total during the year.


  • Explain a theme in a sacred text

  • Explain how a contemporary social action derives ethical principles of a religious tradition.

  • Explain key beliefs of two religious traditions

  • Living Life to the Fullest
