Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Seau.
The purpose of NCEA Level Three Music is to allow our Senior musicians to independently work and collaborate on their craft, be it instrumental, vocal or ensemble.
Perform two programmes of Music as a featured soloist
Demonstrate ensemble skills by performing two pieces of music
Compose three original songs that express imaginative thinking
Research a Music Topic

Pathway
Music allows students to explore creative pathways that aren't limited to focal performance; potions include music technology, production, audio engineering, music management, education and more. A career as a professional musician is not limited to being centre stage.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.

Number of credits that can be used for overall endorsement: 26
Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
