Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Seau.

The purpose of NCEA Level Three Music is to allow our Senior musicians to independently work and collaborate on their craft, be it instrumental, vocal or ensemble.

  • Perform two programmes of Music as a featured soloist

  • Demonstrate ensemble skills by performing two pieces of music

  • Compose three original songs that express imaginative thinking

  • Research a Music Topic

Pathway

Music allows students to explore creative pathways that aren't limited to focal performance; potions include music technology, production, audio engineering, music management, education and more. A career as a professional musician is not limited to being centre stage.
